toysIf it growls only when you turn off the engine, it might be the bearing in the clutch pulley on your alternator???
DON WIEBERwhen you turn the engine off, it made a growl like a cat. mine does not do this any more.
robinThen I would say one of the pulleys is tightening up .As Toys has mentioned .
DON WIEBERi'm looking to get the sound the cat came with from the factory when you turn the engine off.

ed monahanI have owned 5 Prowlers over the past 20 years and never heard the cat growl. One I bought new, two had VERY low miles and two had low miles.
The only growl I heard was when the alternator was going bad in the Orange one.
garysssIn other post Don said he had alt replaced and now bad decoupler sound is gone.
DON WIEBERyes i have replaced the belts-water pump-thermostate-pulleys- it just had a sound like a growl. my grand kids liked the sound.
robinDon I see 2 options find your old Alernator.
